Hey future-proof friends 💜
I’ve got a Claude hack for starting your morning to be 10x more productive and I know you’re going to LOVE it.
I’ve been using it the past few weeks and I’m obsessed.
Because if you’re anything like the old me, you’re reaching for your phone in the morning, opening social media + the news to "just to check one thing", and resurfacing 25 minutes later knowing everything about a stranger's kitchen renovation and absolutely nothing about the world or your day.
A few weeks ago I posted about this on Instagram - sharing how I get Claude to curate me a personalised magazine every morning with news + my personal agenda and I got thousands of DMs about it.
So here it is! The full setup, start to finish.
TL;DR - today’s lineup:
One Serious Deep Dive 💡: How to get Claude to build you a personalised magazine every morning (and connect your calendar, inbox and Notion so it plans your whole day too)
One Powerful Tool 🤖: How to get a top 1% LinkedIn profile with this powerful AI app

One Serious Deep Dive 💡
Let’s Create Your Curated Morning Magazine With Claude…
Here’s what we’re going to create together in this issue - A custom daily magazine that:
Pulls stories from the publications you actually trust
Covers only the topics you care about
Pulls useful information like your meals plans or schedule
Is written through your lens (your work, your goals, your life)
Lands on your laptop every morning at the time you choose
Reads like a real magazine, not a wall of AI text
The setup takes about 10 minutes and then it runs on autopilot forever.
Here’s what mine looks like:

⚠️ Before you start: you need Claude Cowork
This is the most important thing, so please don't skip it.
This setup only works in Claude Cowork, not in the regular Claude chat.
Why? Because your magazine needs to run as a scheduled task (meaning Claude automatically runs the prompt every morning without you having to do anything). Scheduled tasks only live inside Cowork.
Claude Cowork is a free desktop tool from Anthropic designed for non-developers to automate exactly this kind of thing. You can download it here: https://claude.com/product/cowork

Step 1: Open Cowork and start a new chat
Once Cowork is installed, open it up and start a new conversation from the “Scheduled” option in the left-hand menu, then click “New Task” in the top right-hand corner:

Step 2: Personalise your prompt
Before you paste in the prompt below, you need to customise 4 things (highlighted in brackets). This is the part that turns a generic news summary into YOUR magazine.
The 4 things to customise:
1. Your sources
The publications, newsletters and sites you'd actually read if you had the time. For example: CNN, The Economist, TIME, The Cut, Refinery29, The Verge and TechCrunch, Vogue Business, Morning Brew, Bloomberg, The Hustle, Substack writers you love….
2. Your topics (5 to 7)
This is what you actually care about (and deserves your attention). Mine are AI, the creator economy, current affairs, pop culture and women + work. Yours might be parenting, wellness, property, business, politics, travel.
3. Your skip list
The stuff you don't want. Mine skips crypto, sports etc. Yours could skip anything that bores you or stresses you out.
4. Your lens
Tell Claude who YOU are/ what you’re trying to achieve, so every story comes with a "so what does this mean for me." Be specific about your work, your life stage, your goals.
Now here's where it gets really good…
The magazine doesn't have to stop at news.
Cowork connects to your Google Calendar, your Gmail, and your Notion. Which means the magazine can open with a whole "Your Day at a Glance" section, before you've even reached the news.
So mine now also gives me:
Every meeting on my calendar today, pulled from my calendar
The emails I need to action today, pulled from my inbox
Today's meal plan and workouts, pulled straight from my Notion
That last one stopped it just being a magazine and made it a morning command centre. News + an overview of my day before my first coffee. Love it!!!
One thing to note: the meal plan and workout pull only works if those plans live somewhere digital already (a Notion page, a Google Doc). If you don't keep them anywhere, no stress, the prompt can just tell Claude to just generate them each morning from your preferences instead.
‼️ And an important warning: connecting these means Claude is reading your calendar and inbox to build this. That's completely fine for most people, but you should know you're switching it on, not find out later.
Copy this prompt (then personalise the bracketed bits):
Build me a daily "Morning Edition" magazine.
Sources to pull from every morning: [ADD YOUR SOURCES HERE: publications, newsletters, sites, specific writers]
Topics I care about: [ADD YOUR 5 TO 7 TOPICS]
Topics to skip: [ADD WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT, e.g. crypto, sports, celebrity gossip]
My lens (read this carefully): I'm [WHO YOU ARE: your work, your life, what you are building or working towards]. Filter every story through: does this affect my work or life, is this something I'd want to talk about, or is this something I could create content on or use at work? Lead every story with why it matters to me specifically.
Curate the top 10 stories that fit my taste. Flag any story that's directly urgent or actionable for me with a ⚡ icon at the top.
Writing style: Each story gets 2 to 3 tight paragraphs. No fluff, no filler, no "according to sources." Lead with the insight or the "why I should care," then the details. Think editorial, not AI summary.
Design: Render as a single self-contained HTML file styled like an editorial magazine. Use Fraunces and Inter via Google Fonts. Huge display typography throughout (no small fonts anywhere). Include a "jump to section" nav at the top. Give each of the 10 stories its own distinct spread: different background colours, layouts, and numeral treatments (hero, dark/midnight, rose-alert-stamp, terminal, academic drop-cap, big-stat finish, magazine pull-quote, etc.).
Save to a magazines/ folder, named YYYY-MM-DD.html.
Schedule this to run daily at 7am so it's ready when I wake up.
I actually run mine at 10am because Cowork needs your computer to be active in order for tasks to run, so I want to make sure I’m sitting at my desk with my computer on:

Step 4: Let it run once (to test)
Before you go to bed on that first night, run the prompt once manually to make sure everything works. Claude will go off and build your first magazine. It'll save as an HTML file in a magazines/ folder on your computer (or you can choose another location of course)
Open the file. Read it. Does it feel like YOUR magazine? If something's off, tell Claude what to tweak. For example:
"Make the stories shorter"
"Add a fashion section"
"Less tech, more business strategy"
"I don't like the pink background on story 3, make them all neutral"
Step 5: Wake up to it every morning
That's it. From tomorrow onwards, your magazine will be waiting for you every morning in your magazines/ folder. Grab your coffee, open today's issue, skim for 5 minutes, and you're the most informed person in the room by 10:15am.
A few things worth noting:
What if I don't want to use Cowork?
You can still use this prompt in regular Claude on claude.ai, but you'll have to run it manually every morning yourself (and you won't get the scheduled task feature). The whole point of this setup is that it runs while you sleep, so I really recommend Cowork.
Can I add or change sources later?
Yes. Just open the scheduled task in Cowork and edit the prompt. Your next magazine will reflect the changes.
What if Claude can't access a specific source?
Some publications have paywalls or block AI access. If that happens, Claude will tell you and pull from the rest of your sources instead. Just swap that source out for another one you like.
Do I need to be technical to do this?
No. If you can copy and paste and open a file on your laptop, you can do this. That's the whole point.
One Powerful Tool 🤖
Grow a top 1% LinkedIn profile with Raaye AI
I love Instagram and TikTok and I've always felt so much more comfortable creating content there. But the amount of opportunity on LinkedIn is waaaay too huge to miss!
All the big money-players are there and barely anyone is showing up to talk to them. Only 3% of LinkedIn users post more than once a week!! Which means if you just show up consistently, you're already ahead of 97% of the platform and in front of the exact people who have the budget to hire you, buy from you, or partner with you.
If you'd love to show up on LinkedIn consistently and open yourself up to all the opportunities available there, but you have no idea what to write, then I want you to meet Raaye, the LinkedIn AI app.
It learns your voice straight from your existing LinkedIn profile, turns whatever idea you give it into post variations that actually sound like you, lets you schedule content, see what’s trending, manage engagements and more.
Piping Hot AI Tea 🫖
1. Claude just moved into small business
Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business: a bundle that drops Claude straight inside the tools you already use, including QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign and Google Workspace. There’s no extra charge beyond your existing licences. If you freelance or run a side-hustle, the software you're already paying for got an extra AI upgrade this week.
2. Google's secret video tool just leaked
Reports point to a new Gemini-based video system, codenamed Omni, landing around Google I/O. Early clips show you generating, remixing and editing video through plain conversation, with noticeably better movement and text rendering. Translation for creators: video is about to get a lot faster and cheaper to make, and a lot harder to make well. The bar moves again.
3."Chief AI Officer" is now an actual job
IBM surveyed 2,000+ companies and found 76% have created a chief AI officer role, up from 26% last year. So "nnows how to use AI" went from a nice line on a CV to a C-suite title in about twelve months.
If you enjoyed today's newsletter AND got to the end of it, I’d love a quick click on the poll below to let me know what you think 💜.
See you next week,
Jess xx
