Hey future-proof friends 💜

2 things about me: I'm a perfectionist + I have very little design talent.

So if you’re anything like me, maybe you've had an idea for months, even years…

You've dreamed about it, planned all the details, talked about it with your partner…

But every time you actually try to build the thing, you hit the same wall: it looks bad. 🤢

The colours are off… the fonts clash in a weird way… the spacing feels wrong.

So the idea goes back in the drawer.

Writing got solved by AI… research got solved by AI… images got solved by AI…

Design was the last one… and it’s finally happened!

Claude has now solved your issue with their latest launch!! 🎉

So in this newsletter I’m helping you dive into the beautiful world of Claude Design 💜

But before we dive in:

One Serious Deep Dive 💡

Let’s Dive Into Claude Design…

Claude Design is Claude’s latest feature: it basically helps you design beautiful PDFs, slide decks, animations, websites, app interfaces, marketing graphics… you name it!

Simply head over to claude.ai/design (you won’t find it in the Claude App, yet), describe what you want in plain English, and Claude designs a first version. Then you refine it by chatting back or clicking directly on the canvas to leave comments.

Here's the part that made me fall in love with it though:

Once you upload your brand (or let Claude build one for you), every single thing you create after that is automatically on-brand!!

3 fun things to try this week with Claude Design…

1. Design your visual brand guidelines

I’ve had somewhat of a loose visual brand identity for the past year - but I just spent the afternoon refining it with Claude Design and I’m obsessed!

Just head over to Pinterest, screenshot brand aesthetics that appeal to you and upload them into Claude Design along with any fonts you like:

Claude Design will generate the guidelines for you and you can specify what you like and what needs changing:

This is still a work in progress for me but you just need to do this once! Claude Design will apply it to anything it creates for you! You’ll see the infographic at the top of this email matches the design system I’m developing!

  1. Turn any text file into a beautifully designed asset.

Got a Word doc? A transcript? A boring PDF? Upload it and ask Claude Design to turn it into a polished slide deck or one-pager. I tested this with my newsletter from 2 weeks ago and I’m AMAZED at the results:

3. Try creating an animation!

I never ever thought I’d be able to create motion graphics or animations - now it’s as easy as describing what you want to see!

This simple prompt:

Create a sprite-based animation that gives fun facts about the distance and sizes of celestial bodies. Mix abstract animations using circles of various sizes as celestial bodies with text-based animation. Use a monochrome, helvetica palette

Creates this insanely cool animation (you’ll need to click here, login into Claude Design and head over to “Examples” to watch it in its full glory):

Finally, I created a free Claude Design guide for you

Want to see how I use AI to 10x my content and audience growth?

I’ve created a done-for-you content ideation, creation, management and publishing system to help you leverage AI to 10x your content creation (without losing your authenticity in the process).

It’s called the AI Content Multiplier and the waitlist is now open - join now and I’ll send you a 30% off early bird discount as soon as it launches (which is soon).

One Powerful Prompt 🤖

The Design System Builder

If you've never had a proper brand design system (most people haven't), this prompt will help you put some ideas together. Works really well if you also attach screenshots from branding you see on Pinterest that appeals to you. Paste it into a regular Claude conversation, fill in the brackets, save the output as a PDF, then upload it to your next Claude Design project.

ABOUT MY BRAND
- What I do: [one sentence]
- Who I'm talking to: [your ideal customer in detail, including age, what they care about, and what they're trying to achieve]
- How I want people to FEEL when they experience my brand: [e.g. calm and confident / energised and excited / warm and welcomed / sharp and premium]
- Three brands whose aesthetic I admire and why: [examples with a sentence on each]
- Three words that describe my brand's personality: [e.g. direct, sharp, approachable]
- Colours I'm drawn to (leave blank to let you choose): [hex codes or descriptions]
- Colours I'd never use: [anything you want to avoid]
- My industry or niche: [your space]

Please build a complete, production-ready design system including:

1. COLOUR PALETTE (2-3 core colours, 1 accent, a neutral scale, accessibility notes)
2. TYPOGRAPHY (display + body font with reasoning, full size scale, fallbacks)
3. SPACING AND LAYOUT (scale, grid principles, whitespace guidance)
4. COMPONENT STYLES (buttons, cards, form inputs, badges, iconography direction)
5. BRAND VOICE AND MOOD (how it should FEEL, do's and don'ts)

Format as a clean, structured document I can upload to future projects.

Piping Hot AI Tea 🫖

Figma's Stock Tanked The Second Claude Design Went Live

Within hours of Anthropic launching Claude Design, Figma's share price dropped 7% and Adobe followed. Anthropic's CPO Mike Krieger had quietly resigned from Figma's board three days earlier, which the market apparently missed. Canva, by contrast, is in on the play and you can export straight from Claude Design into a Canva file.

OpenAI Bought A Podcast (Because Every AI Company Wants To Be A Media Company Now)

OpenAI acquired TBPN, the daily live tech show that became a cult thing in Silicon Valley. It's OpenAI's first ever media acquisition, and a very loud signal that Sam Altman is thinking about distribution channels the same way tech billionaires think about Twitter/X. Expect AI companies buying media properties to become A Thing.

Anthropic Is About To Be Worth $800 Billion

Bloomberg reports that VCs have been throwing a preemptive funding round at Anthropic that would value the company at $800 billion or more, which puts them in spitting distance of OpenAI.

If you enjoyed today's newsletter AND got to the end of it, I’d love a quick click on the poll below to let me know what you think 💜.

See you next week,

Jess xx
