How to UNDERthink your way to success
Hey creator friends đź’ś
This week, I’m pulling back the curtain on how I’m growing my brand, audience, and income… by posting videos that look like failures on the surface but secretly compound behind the scenes.
If you’ve ever wondered if your content is working (or stopped yourself from posting because it didn’t feel “perfect”) this might just rewire your whole strategy (and calm your brain in the process).
TL;DR - today’s lineup:
Smart Strategy 💡: Why my “flop” videos are actually my biggest flex
Copy-Paste Prompt  🤖: A “WTF energy” prompt to make your TikToks unscrollable
Time‑Saver Tool ⏱️: The app that cut my screen time by 24.5% in 6 days
Piping  Hot  AI  Tea 🫖: 6 wild AI updates this week: from Gen Z marrying bots to OpenAI killing the smartphone

UNDERthinking Your Way To Success
3 days ago I watched an Instagram Reel I’d sweated over stall at 148 views.
It’s actually 1 of an entire 14-part video series I worked really hard on that has not performed as well as I’d hoped.
But I smiled and felt richer for it… some might call it a “flop”, but I call it another investment into my “attention index fund”.

Last month’s 3 digital-product sales (groundbreaking I know, but still!) all came from videos that, by surface metrics, were “flops”.
So here’s what I took from that:
Short-term views lie, value accrues.
The more you treat content like currency, the less content you waste, or worry about.
Yet I see so many people scared to post anything at all. Waiting for some magic spark of clarity to make it “perfect”.
Because they feel like each next post is a gamble.
A reflection on their value.
Well, I’ve gone for the opposite approach this year - UNDERthinking my way to success (and an online audience) and using AI as the rocket fuel.
And slowly but surely, my life (or at least my digital footprint and personal brand) is quietly compounding.
The Asset-Building Creator Mindset
This is all because in February, I shifted my mindset to viewing content as an investment.
I decided to see each post as a tiny asset with the potential to compound.
I’ve become obsessed with the concept of building life leverage.
And the biggest killer of that is thinking, “What’s the point if it flops?”.
The point is that small actions done in public create infinite leverage in private.
With that in mind, I’ve spent the past 3 months focusing on shifting my mindset from overthinking to asset-building.
And I’m starting to see some compounding happening:
I’ve had 5-6 viral TikToks that more than doubled my following, but also lots of smaller videos contributing solid numbers (now 4,000+).
I grew my email list to 1,250+ subscribers in a month.
I’ve made some income from my newsletter (nothing life-changing but it’s a start).
And those few digital product sales (again, small - but 100% real).

Here’s the wild part:
Most of these posts looked like flops at first.
Under-thought, off-the-cuff videos I didn’t anticipate would perform very well.
Sometimes I reposted the same idea in a slightly different format.
Most of them I created with AI.
And it’s working.
Now on Instagram it’s a different story…
Same consistency… almost zero traction.
Low views, close to zero engagement and only just over 60 followers gained over 3 months.

But I don’t care. For me it’s still a win: every post adds searchable proof of work.
It might lead to nothing.
Or it might lead to something really big and exciting.
If there’s a chance of both anyway, I might as well publish and shift the odds in my favour.
Call it creating more “luck surface area”.
Because this isn’t about going viral (even though I have a few times).
It’s about compounding attention into leverage.
Every post is proof of hard work, consistency, bravery and expertise.
With this mindset, you’re building an ecosystem, not chasing a hit.
Embrace Your “Flop” Era
So here’s a guarantee I can give you with full confidence:
You’ll create 10x more opportunities for yourself over the next 6 months if you create a content plan with ChatGPT every week and post whatever it tells you without overthinking
vs.
You spending 100 hours “researching” content, watching courses and holding back trying to make it perfect every time.
Here’s even a super simple prompt you can use right now (I dare you):
Act as an expert social media strategist. Create a 7-day content plan for [insert your niche or industry] targeting [describe your target audience]. Each day's plan should include:
1. A compelling content idea tailored to the audience's interests.
2. The optimal format for the content (e.g., video, carousel, story).
3. A scroll-stopping hook or headline to grab attention.
4. A clear call-to-action to encourage engagement.
Ensure the content aligns with current trends and is designed to maximize engagement on [specify platform, e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn].Moral of the story:
Embrace a little UNDERthinking.
Be the person relentlessly stacking the odds in your favour.
The more you stack, the more chances you create for luck to turn your way.
Copy-Paste Prompt 🤖
WTF Energy TikToks
What do you get when you mix strange metaphors, pop culture logic, and a dash of “wtf” energy?
Videos with a higher chance of stopping the scroll.
Drop the prompt below into ChatGPT and you’ll get 3 punchy TikTok scripts that marry viral storytelling, NLP flair, and weird-but-sticky analogies.
You are a storytelling expert with a background in neuro-linguistic programming and viral media.
You've studied the work of Seth Godin, George Lois, and creators like @corporatenatalie.
My niche is [insert your niche], and my audience is [describe your audience].
Give me 3 TikTok video ideas that explain a core concept in my niche using strange metaphors, unexpected comparisons, or absurd analogies.
Format the scripts with a scroll-stopping hook, curious body, and a CTA that builds intrigue.

Opal App: Get Your Time + Mind Back
Over the past few months, I noticed something unsettling: my screen time was creeping up, my phone was always in my hand, and worst of all... I didn’t know what to do with myself when I wasn’t consuming something.
Apart from the time-wasting issue, it felt like my brain was constantly buzzing, heavy with noise and ideas that weren’t mine.
So, 6 days ago, I downloaded Opal App and decided to do something about it.
Here’s what happened:
My screen time dropped by 24.5% in under a week.
I’ve felt a sense of mental stillness and surprising energy.
Productivity? Way up. Creativity? Flowing.

Opal lets you block access to distracting apps during set hours. And if you go for the paid plan, it even removes the ability to pause or uninstall the blocker. That was the game-changer for me. It took away the temptation entirely.
If you’ve been feeling addicted, foggy, or creatively drained, this is the mental reset button you need. I’m hooked (in a good way)!
