Steal My 3-Step Framework For Using AI Without Losing Your Authenticity

In partnership with

Hey creator friends 💜

I’m hitting you with some research to start with (stay with me):

50% of people now recognise AI-generated content on sight, and 52% are less engaged when they spot it. (Source).

Which means if you’re a creator, your audience can tell when you outsourced your brain to ChatGPT and they just stop caring.

And I’m sure this also happens when people realise emails, reports, articles, messages etc were written using AI.

But at the same time, you’re crazy if you don’t leverage AI!! And that’s not the way to solve this issue.

The answer is what I call my Human-AI-Human Framework, and it’s a 3-step approach for using AI without losing yourself and your authenticity in the process.

I’ll break it down for you in this newsletter.

TL;DR - today’s lineup:

  1. One Serious Deep Dive 💡: A 3-step approach to use AI without becoming dumber or losing your authenticity

  2. Piping  Hot  AI  Tea 🫖: ChatGPT is panicking, the Pentagon is using AI for warfare and Meta is now a news app?

💌 Your say genuinely shapes this newsletter: there’s a one‑click feedback poll at the very end. I genuinely check for feedback like a maniac after I send this out because I really want to know what you honestly think. So thank you!

Before we dive in:

You can (easily) launch a newsletter too

This newsletter you couldn’t wait to open? It runs on beehiiv — the absolute best platform for email newsletters.

My 3-Step Framework For Using AI Without Losing Your Authenticity

People can very often tell when you’ve completely outsourced your brain and effort to AI, and they stop caring.

But not using AI isn’t the answer.

The real question is how you use AI to multiply your output without multiplying generic content that sounds like everyone else, and most people get this wrong because they think AI is a writer when really it's a processor.

You feed it instructions, it processes them, you keep what matters and change the rest

That middle step (the bit where AI does the heavy lifting) only works when you wrap it in your actual thoughts on both ends.

How I use this framework for my content creation

To bring this to life, I’m going to walk you through an actual example of me applying this framework.

I recently saw this post by @jun_yuh on Instagram that inspired me, and I used my Human-AI-Human Framework to remix the concept into this:

Instagram Post

Here’s how I did it:

Step 1: Brain dump YOUR ideas

The first thing I do is just brain dump whatever I think or know or have experienced to do with my idea.

I do this in a very messy way - I just want to get all my raw thoughts out as quickly as I can and riff in a really natural way to allow my best thoughts to surface.

I love using a voice typing app for this (I currently use Wispr Flow, not an ad) because it transcribes automatically in any website, tool or software that basically has a text box.

The key difference is speed - when you write, you edit as you go, but when you talk, you just think out loud and get ideas out faster than your internal editor can kill them. It doesn’t matter how much you say - AI will decipher it and clean it up!

For my post, I just shared my experience of tanking on TikTok and what I learned from it - all in a really casual way, like telling the story to a friend. I voice-dumped everything -the growth numbers, the details, how it felt, what I learned, why it mattered.

Step 2: Ask AI to ask you questions

A lot of people kind of stop the process there - they just copy/paste their brain dump into ChatGPT and say "write this as a script" or "turn this into a post".

But this is when AI starts inventing things that sound good but aren't true.

Or worse, it smooths out all the interesting parts of your story and replaces them with generic motivation speak. 🤮

Instead, you’re going to prompt the AI along with your brain dump:

"Ask me clarifying questions before you write in order to get all the details and context you need to personalise this [THING] completely to my unique situation".

In the case of my post, Claude asked me all these things I hadn’t thought to include that ultimately helped it to shape a much more interesting, valuable, unique and compete result for me.

Now AI does what it's actually good at - taking your raw, messy thoughts and organising them into something coherent where it fixes your rambling, structures your points, and turns your voice dump into engaging, authentic, humanised content.

You get back a polished script that's built from your actual experience and not from AI's training dataset on whatever your topic is. And that's a BIIIIIG difference that’s instantly noticeable.

When someone reads it or hears it or watches it, they're reading YOUR thinking process (just organised in a structured way by AI), which is why it doesn't sound like everyone else using the same AI tools.

Step 3: Speak it out loud and fix what's off

This is the final essential step to separate your AI-assisted content from content that sounds 100% AI written - read your draft out loud, not in your head (especially if it’s a video script).

Every time you hit a sentence or a word that doesn't sound like something you'd say, rewrite it by changing the language back to how you actually talk.

Replace any tiny bit that gives you weird vibes with your natural way of expressing yourself, and cut anything that feels performative, cheesy, meaningless or inauthentic.

I usually savagely rip apart and change the drafts I create with AI until it sounds like words that would actually leave my mouth or that I would write and confidently sign my name to.

This final filter is what keeps your voice intact - where AI polished your thinking, but you're still the editor deciding what stays and what goes.

The Human-AI-Human approach solves the AI adoption “problem” without creating new ones.

Because while AI means speed - speed without consistency is just noise.

With this approach your voice stays consistent across platforms because every piece starts and ends with you.

Everyone has access to the same AI tools now - that means the playing field is level on the tech side and your differentiation comes from feeding AI better inputs and filtering its outputs more carefully.

GPT-5.2 Launching THIS WEEK (OpenAI's "Code Red" Response to Google)

OpenAI is launching GPT-5.2 THIS WEEK as its first response to Google's Gemini 3. Sources say the 5.2 update should "close the gap" that Google created when Gemini 3 topped leaderboards last month. OpenAI was originally planning to launch later in December, but pressure from competitors moved the release forward. The Information reported that GPT-5.2 is "ahead of Gemini 3" in OpenAI's internal evaluations. This comes after Altman declared "code red" earlier this week. Expect ChatGPT to evolve in meaningful ways as OpenAI shifts focus toward improving speed, reliability, and customisability. When OpenAI moves a launch forward by weeks because of Google, you know the AI race is heating up.

Pentagon Launches GenAI.mil (3 Million Military Personnel Get Google Gemini)

The Pentagon launched GenAI.mil, a military-focused AI platform powered by Google Gemini, giving over 3 million civilian and military personnel access to advanced AI tools. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the platform will "revolutionise the way we win" in future warfare. AI models on GenAI can conduct deep research, format documents, and analyse video or imagery at unprecedented speed. The Pentagon will provide free training, and the service is web-grounded against Google search to prevent hallucinations. Under Secretary of War Emil Michael said, "AI is America's next Manifest Destiny." Google Gemini is now powering the U.S. military's AI strategy.

Meta AI Gets Real-Time News (Partnering with CNN, Fox News, USA Today)

Meta AI is now offering real-time content, including global breaking news, entertainment, and lifestyle stories across Meta's apps. When you ask Meta AI news-related questions, you'll receive information and links from diverse content sources. Meta is partnering with CNN, Fox News, Fox Sports, Le Monde Group, People Inc., The Daily Caller, The Washington Examiner, and USA TODAY.
